Hi, I'm Mike Welchhans and I am a photographer. Photography is part meditation and part treasure hunt to me. It is a way for me to express how I "see" the composition and emotion of my surroundings. I have a background and training as a photojournailst. I chose to earn my degree and make a living as a graphic designer. This photo blog represents a return to my photographic roots and to allow how I have grown as a designer to influence my photographs and my philosophy of photography.
